VISA

For the most of countries if you’re travelling to Indonesia for tourism you can enter the country with a free visa for up to 30 (make sure that your country is on the list here). You won’t be able to extend your stay beyond 30 days.
If you want to stay here for more than a month, you should apply for a visa before you travel, or get a visa valid for up to 30 days on arrival at a cost of US$35. You can extend this type of visa once for a maximum of 30 days by applying to an immigration office within Indonesia.
IMPORTANT! Passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 (six) months as from the date of entry into Indonesia.

MONEY

Official currency of Indonesia is rupiah (Rp). US$1 = 14 100 Rp (May, 2022). In the most places they accept only local currency, so we strongly advise you to exchange your money only at authorized money changers. If you travel with a bank card, you can get your money out from ATMs or pay by your card in local shops and restaurants.

INSURANCE

Insurance is the most important thing to make your holidays safe. Medical assistance in Indonesia is very expensive: one visit to a doctor can cost you at least US$100. Please, get traveling insurance for Bali and you’ll avoid many problems.

TRANSPORT

The easiest way to drive around Bali is to rent a motorbike. The price is about US$5 per day. Also you can rent a car like Toyota Avanza or Suzuki Apv for US$25 per day without driver or US$50 with a driver.

IMPORT REGULATIONS

Free import (for passengers above 18 years of age):

  1. Tobacco products (no limitations for diplomats): 200 cigarettes or 25 cigars or 100 grams of tobacco;
  2. 1 liter of liquor;
  3. A reasonable quantity of perfume;
  4. Personal goods up to a value of US$250.- per passenger or US$1,000.- per family.

IF I AM BEGINNER, WHY DO SO NEED TO GO TO KUTA IF I CAN TAKE THE SURF LESSONS CLOSER TO WHERE I STAY (CANGGU/SANUR/NUSA DUA)?

Kuta is known to be the number one beginners spot for a reason. Here you can find the best waves and a sandy bottom, which makes it more safe to make first steps in surfing. If you arrange your first few classes in the spots with bigger waves, that will only slow down your progress. Learn those basic skills first, and then you can try some other spots!

HOW MANY LESSONS SHOULD I GET?

On average people need min. 5-10 classes to start surfing on their own. That’s why it is more beneficial to get a week or two weeks package. Please note, that the speed of learning is individual.

WHAT IS SURF TRIP?

We offer to intermediate levels surfers an exciting opportunity to go on a surf trip to some of Bali’s most breathtaking spots. It is a good chance to find the waves that suit your level and explore the island. Group surf trips are only available for adult students (at least 16 years old).

WHY IS THERE NO FIXED SCHEDULE FOR THE LESSONS TO START AT THE SAME TIME?

Every surf spot has different seafloor structure with depth variations. The lesson start time depends on the tidal water level, wind and swell in the ocean. We schedule our lessons considering the best waves timeline for our class.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SURFING ON THE FOAM AND SURFING ON THE LINE-UP?

Surfing the foam (the white waves) is the beginner level, learning basics of the basics, like standing up on the board, et.  The line-up lessons are given to those who already know the basic skills and are able to manage the surf board. The students paddle a little bit further, towards the line up, right before the break, where we teach them to catch the real green waves.

WHAT CLOTHES DO I NEED FOR SURFING?

Men surf in board shorts, that are created for surfing – it’s getting dry quickly and you feel free during all the surfing. Ladies have many options – bikini, shorts or leggings.
On the top we normally wearing lycra longsleeve for protection fron sunburns.
All the surf clothes is already included in a cost of lesson.

CAN I SURF WITH CONTACT LENSES?

Sure you can. Just make sure you have a spare couple!

WHAT IS THE AVERAGE AGE OF GUESTS IN SURF CAMP?

We have guests of different age. The average is about 20-35 years.

DO YOU HAVE A AIRPORT TRANSFERS?

Transfer to Surf camp in Canggu is already included in camp cost with min. stay of 7 nights.

CAN I COME TO THE CAMP IF I’VE NEVER SURFED BEFORE?

Sure you can. You will start learning to surf from the very basics at the beginners’ group. All groups are formed based on our students’ skills and take place at the corresponding locations.

HOW MANY LESSONS WILL I HAVE PER WEEK?

Surfing lessons take place 7 days a week, 1 time per day. Saturday is a day off. But if you’re willing to surf more – we will arrange additional surfing intensive class per day.

WHAT DOES AN ORGANIZED SURF CAMP TRIP CONSIST OF?

Booking a camp means that you get accommodation, breakfast, surfing lessons with surfing equipment, access to recreation club with gym and sauna, yoga and surf training, airport transfers and other social activities in camp. You can purchase extra guided trips or leisure programs on-spot. Plane tickets booking isn’t covered.

IF I COME ALONE, WILL I HAVE TO LIVE WITH A ROOMMATE?

Having roommates is possible only if you are staying in a Camp type room. We also have only girls Camp room, and another one is mixed.

If you would like stay at standard/studio/deluxe room, you can enjoy your own space.

WHAT LANGUAGES DO WE SPEAK AND PROVIDE LESSONS?

Our instructors speak English. Our guests come from different countries, this is a great way to make new foreign friends.
